Dog Training Services
Good Manners Training, 1-hour session, $75:
Traditionally called obedience training, this covers all of the basic skills your dog needs to know such as sitting, staying, and lying down on cue, waiting at doorways, waiting politely for food and other treats, politely greeting people and other dogs, and walking on leash without pulling. These behaviors help make your dog a well-mannered member of his home and community. This session of dog training can also include trick training or any other basic skills or household manners you would like your dog to know.
Puppy Socialization, 1-hour session, $75:
Socialization is the most important training you can provide for your new puppy. The large majority of dogs that suffer from behavior problems such as aggression or fear have these issues as a result of inadequate socialization. In our puppy socialization lessons, we will help you create a plan for introducing your puppy to all of the people, places, objects, and activities he will encounter throughout his life. This is an extremely important step in puppy raising and is the foundation of teaching your puppy that the world is a safe place, and helps him develop into a confident, happy adult dog.
House Training, 1-hour session, $75:
Whether you are working with a young puppy, a newly acquired dog, or a dog who has continued to struggle with house training, a dog house training lesson will guide you through the necessary steps to get your dog's elimination habits on track. We will also help you determine the underlying cause of your dog's "accidents" and customize a plan for success.
Behavior Counseling & Evaluations, 90-minute session, $135:
Behavior Counseling sessions are offered for dogs with a variety of behavior problems or concerns such as chewing, destructive behavior, mouthing, excessive barking, fearful behavior, separation anxiety, or aggression. During your first session we will take a detailed history of the problem behavior, provide you with advice and information about the behavior, and get you started on a management and training plan to improve or resolve it. For many dog behavior problems, at least one or more one-hour follow-up sessions are necessary to continue your dog's progress (one-hour follow up sessions can be purchased in packages at a reduced cost). During a Dog Behavior Evaluation session, we will evaluate your dog and offer professional recommendations about your dog's behavior and training needs. A brief, written summary of the evaluation will be provided.
New Puppy Success Plan, package of four 1-hour sessions, $265:
In this bargain-priced package of four 1-hour lessons, we will cover everything you need to know to get your puppy started on the right track, including: socialization, house training, good manners training, basic grooming, effective exercise plans, appropriate play, and any other information you'd like to cover during your lessons.
